The Botetourt County Historical Museum is located at 3 West Main Street, Fincastle, Virginia, directly behind the historical Botetourt County Courthouse.  The restored Colonel James Breckinridge Law Office is a part of the museum and open for visitation.

The BCHS entry is a Top Ten candidate for the Virginia Association of Museums’ Endangered Artifact Award

The winner will receive up to $1000.00 – which can be used toward the conservation of our book, Manual of Religious Instruction.

To preserve and protect the historical heritage of Botetourt County, Virginia by providing education to the public through exhibitions, publications, programs and activities and preserving photographs, family journals, records and artifacts housed in the Botetourt County Historical Society Museum and selected sites While collaborating with other historical societies and Botetourt County citizens.
